Antique Devil Mask

Mask Item 240
$525.
9.25 H. x 6 W. inches
Wood and oil paint. Obvious signs of repainting.
Notes: This mask represents a devil for the Dance of the Devils. There were once wooden horns which were part of the original carving. They have broken off over the years and have been filed down. The horns would have been replaced with a headdress consisting of deer antlers or wooden antlers and horsehair attached to the cup of a straw hat.
